Presbyterian Women

The Presbyterian Women kicked off the 2024-2025 season

with a memorable event on Friday, September 20.

Our first meeting was a delightful social gathering,

reminiscent of an old-fashioned tea party.

We served a variety of tea blends and finger foods,

providing a perfect opportunity for us to come together,

reconnect, and share stories after the summer break.

For the 2024-2025 season, our focus is on self-care. To explore this theme, we have a rich and diverse lineup of speakers, each ready to delve into different aspects of self-care.

Our next meeting, scheduled for October 18, will feature

Office Allison Ramirez of the Glen Ellyn Police Department.

She will share insights on personal safety, a crucial topic in today’s world. On November 15, our own Linda Ellinghausen will return to guide us in creating a fall floral arrangement. This is just one of the many activities we have planned for the season. Anyone wishing to make a floral design will need to sign up in advance so we know the quantity of flowers and greenery to purchase (a fee will be charged to cover the cost of the floral supplies). Participants must also provide their own container (vase, basket, hollowed-out pumpkin, etc.). Even if you don’t want to create a floral arrangement, please join us for fun and fellowship. Look soon for the sign-up sheet on the Presbyterian Women’s bulletin board.

The annual Thank Offering will be accepted on

Sunday, November 24,

during the Word with Children.

Monies collected through the

Thank Offering provide grants to various worthwhile programs

each year to help fund real solutions in the areas of health, education,

economic development, and the needs of women and children.

The Presbyterian Women look forward to another season of fun,

fellowship, and learning. Everyone is invited to join us.

Our meetings are typically held on the

3rd Friday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the McHenry Parlor.

We hope to see you

at our next meeting on October 18.

All women of the church are invited.

Your 2024-2025 Co-chairs,

Elise Henkels & Heidi Shierry
