Updates on Our Cuba Sister Church Ministry

As of  Sept 9, our church is hoping for the visit of the Pastor of our Cuba Sister Church, Yoelkis Sierra Gonzalez, and his wife, Odilaisy Suarez Hernandez, at our church from Sunday, September 22 to Monday, September 30.

Yoelkis has been invited by the Cuba Partners Network to attend their annual convention to be held this year in Darien, IL during the several days prior. However, it is possible that Yoelkis and Odilaisy will not receive their visas to come to the United States in time for the planned visit. If Yoelkis and Odilaisy cannot come during this September, these items will be taken to Cuba the next time we visit our sister church, which is scheduled for the end of December and beginning of January.

Note that, if you are interested in going to Cuba to visit our sister church, please communicate that to Pastor Wendy Boden.

The Cuba Faith and Interest Group of our church has developed a diversified schedule of events for Yoelkis and Odilaisy to become more acquainted with our church, and it will be publicized to the congregation during this month if Yoelkis and Odilaisy can come, otherwise it is a starting point for whatever time we can reschedule their visit if indeed this becomes necessary.
